I love the spirit of Alberta — a place where hearts are as big as the massive prairie skies. It felt very important to bring the Resistance Tour there and I have to say, I was overwhelmed by the response.
I was invited by my great friend and colleague Heather McPherson — a fierce and principled fighter for her region. She represents the very best of Alberta.

Since the Trump threats began, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has done everything possible to undermine our nation. In this time of crisis, leaders in the Alberta Maple MAGA mob have been threatening the break-up Canada.
At the resistance rally, I delivered a simple message: Canadians will defy Trump and the quisling traitors in Maple MAGA.
They don’t speak for the real Alberta.
Here is the speech from Edmonton. Please watch and share.
This may be a time of crisis — but it’s also a time of renewal in our country.
Canadians are standing together like never before. We have reclaimed our flag from the conspiracy haters. We aren't waving it in a jingoistic manner. We’ve learned not to be boastful. We know our history — and we are on the long and difficult journey of reconciliation between the settler population and the original people still living on their Indigenous lands.
I was so honoured to meet with the Alberta resistance on Treaty 6 land in the heart of Edmonton's proud Ukrainian community. It speaks to this national journey of reconciliation we are on together. We know that there is no resistance without reconciliation. We will not let a criminal gangster and his Muskolini cronies decide the future of this land and its resources.
Canada didn't ask for this fight, but we’re here — and we’re ready.

Our country is on the front line in the global fight for democracy and the rule of law.
Trump doesn't want to just break us with tariffs, he wants to make us subservient to the INCEL hate machine. He calls Canada one of the "nastiest" countries he has dealt with — all because we are proud to be diverse, equity-seeking and inclusive.
We will fight to defend those values.
Everywhere I go, I see Canadians unified by our commitment to fairness, justice and democracy. We are a nation always ready to look out for each other.
So let this be our message: never let the haters and the trolls divide us from each other. When we stand together, we are unbeatable.
It is a choice between Vichy and Vimy.
At the end of the day, Albertans — like the rest of Canada — will be standing on the ridge.
“Four strong winds that blow lonely,
Seven seas that run high,
All those things that don't change, come what may.”
— Ian Tyson
Thanks for sticking up for Alberta Charlie. Danielle Smith and her far right wackos don’t represent my Alberta. We’re stronger together 🇨🇦
Thank you, Charlie, for making sure that we don't forget that our western provinces are solidly part of our Canada. I lived and worked in Alberta for 3 years. They are great people.
ps: I voted in the first hours of early polling. It matters like never before.
