The Most Deplorable Moment in American Presidential History
Who Will Stand Up to the Traitor Regime?
"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last." – Winston Churchill
There is no more pretending. No more tiptoeing around.
The staged attack on President Zelenskyy at the White House was the most disgraceful political stunt in memory, and it has shattered the last of our wishful thinking.
Since Trump’s election, many countries hoped that if they fawned over him, he would pick on someone else. We now know that this is a fallacy. Trump is dragging the world into a dark hole from which we might not crawl out.
We were all sickened to our stomachs by the sight of this narcissist trying to humiliate a genuine fighter for freedom.
Or were we?
The US media headlines present it as if President Zelenskyy somehow hurt Ukraine’s interest for not being deferential. CNN accused him of daring to “invade Trump’s disinformation space.” As if using truth to challenge lies was just bad policy. It's not like any American media would dare do such a thing. Not a chance.
Well, let's bring some truth into the American disinformation space.
What happened in Washington wasn't just another example of Trump being boorish with his knuckle-dragger VP. It was an indictment of the entire political class of the United States – Republican and Democrat – who have brought the United States to this abyss.
This was about the complicity of American media in refusing to puncture the disinformation space created by the felon from Mar-a-Lago. Most of all, it forced a moment of reckoning for the American people: Are they willing to hand over democracy, the rule of law, and global leadership to appease Elon Musk, the kleptocrats, and the Kremlin?
Americans know where this is heading. They either stand up or go willingly into the dark hole.
But this is also the line-in-the-sand moment for the rest of the world.
The White House spectacle was a staged play to set the terms for Trump cutting off military aid to Ukraine.
What will Europe do? Are they willing to fill the breach or become client states of the Putin regime?
What about our supposed King - Mr. Charles who, in sucking up to Trump to advance Britain's interests, appears willing to throw the Canadian colony under the bus?
Most of all, what does it say about Canada, who must deal with a growing malignant threat on a 5,000 mile undefended border?
I would like to believe that Canada’s political class has a game plan. We don’t.
But perhaps the deplorable scene played out in the Oval Office will serve as a badly needed cold bucket of water over the heads of our political tacticians and planners.
We need to wake up.
Canada is no longer in 2023 or 2024; it is now 2025, and the world has become a radically more dangerous place. What happens to Ukraine will set the stage for what could happen to us.
If ever there was an all-hands-on-deck moment for Canada, it is now.
More on the Five Eyes
In a previous post, I wrote about Trump's attempt to destroy the Five Eyes intelligence network by targeting Canada.
I encourage people to read The Secret History of the Five Eyes by Richard Kerbaj. He writes about the long history of intelligence cooperation between the United States and its key allies – Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. It was "a band of brothers and sisters" who worked to expose ISIS and international terrorism.
All that is out the window now with the Trump ascendancy. The trashing of the Five Eyes will make the United States a weaker and more vulnerable nation.
But there is an ugly method in Trump's madness. Kerbaj writes that one of the key roles in recent intelligence gathering was alerting US authorities to Russian interference in Donald Trump's electoral campaigns.
There you have it. With Trump, everything is about payback.
Kicking Canada out of the Five Eyes would destroy an important 60-year secret intelligence machine — punishment because they dared track his relations with the Putin regime in winning an election.
The man in the White House is a Putin stooge.
Let that basic fact pierce the American media's respect for Trump's "disinformation space."
Ukraine has become the front line in the new world disorder of Putin/Trump. And whether we want to admit it or not, Canada will be the second trench they try to storm if they breach Ukraine.
After what we witnessed in Washington, there is no pretending otherwise.
In the coming days, we will see whether those in power will do the right thing in the face of traitorous tyranny or go along with the flow.
I know where I stand. I stand with Ukraine. I stand with Canada. I stand against the gangsters in Washington and Moscow.
Many Canadians and Americans stand with us. Now, we wait to see if our leaders — and the leaders of the global community — will do the same.
Mr. Angus, Please know that not all of us Americans are on board with the antics of the SOB in the White House. You are so right about the complicity of the main stream media and the politicians, both Republican and Democrat, who just cannot seem to find a backbone to stand up to this asshole. There are those of us who are fighting back as much as we can and in any way that we can. Is there anyway that Canada can kick the US out of the Five Eyes agreement? Why can't you just start the process? I think that by this time, it is very clear that the US cannot be trusted to not share information with Putin. Therefore, they should be kicked out of the Five Eyes and have no access to whatever information there is. Also, can the US be kicked out of the G7 and Ukraine admitted in their stead? I think that a concerted effort by democracy loving countries to treat Trump and the US as a pariah is in order. And I don't mean just economically. I mean politically as well. Do not make him or his cabinet welcome in Europe. Ostracize him. He thrives on attention. Deprive him of his oxygen. Don't give the bully any reason to flex his muscles. Give back to him what he gives to you tenfold. He's a coward. He's a chickenshit. Make the bastard hurt. Make him hurt badly. You and your allies can do this.
We need to remember that Russia is a smaller economy than Italy. The EU has consistently provided more assistance to Ukraine than the USA. This is not to downplay the malignant power of the USA. But we must counter the myth that we are all helpless against the orange bully! Canada is on the Frontline. We are going to suffer, but stay strong and proud! Thanks for your strong voice, Charlie! SLAVA UKRAINE!🇨🇦
