On a recent Toronto stop of the Resistance Tour, I had the privilege of spending an evening with the Congress of Union Retirees of Canada. In my speech, I spoke of the long struggle of the Canadian working class, but my focus was on the broader threat posed by the MAGA ideology.

When we see posters of the disappeared taped to poles in American cities,
we know what's happening.
When the Pentagon removes photos of heroes like Jackie Robinson,
we know what's happening.
When Trump mocks our country and denies us the right to choose our own destiny, we know what's happening.
This is the rise of gangster fascism.

Donald Trump thought Canadians would be hapless pushovers. But he's learning the hard way that Canadians will not bend or break.
The union retirees I spoke with have been through many hard battles against tough employers over the decades. But they are ready to go back into the trenches to defend the interests of Canadian working people once again.

We will kick at the darkness until it bleeds daylight.
I had an opportunity to do the grocery shopping yesterday, noticed the locally produced organic produce at the co-op is much fresher and getting turns faster than before the boycott. My 25+ years working in grocery retail gave me an insight I will share:
The boycott is working here in BC. Elbows up! (Vegetables do not lie)
Yesterdays post, No Concessions was a fairly big hit on blue Sky and was reposted many times.
Some people even took pieces of it and posted what they thought was relevant to them. Personally it was all relevant to me.
Elbows Up!
