3 Things I Love about Meidas Canada's Offensive Posture of Fighting Fascism:

1) Charlie Angus' tours of Canadian cities and the beautiful scenery. Love seeing Newfoundland & Labrador.

2) The grassroots boycott. Keep it up. It's working. Withholding money eventually gets attention.

3) Buy Canadian Campaign: Spend money locally and attract more foreigners to Canada.

Why spend your money with Fascists?

Keep up the great work and spread the word. Cheers!

why has " progressive" become meaningless, especially to those who use it as part of their name?

I'm searching for candidates to support in edmonton, alberta, Canada.

I love Labour Day - I published my own article about its history and relevance yesterday morning. It's such an overlooked and undervalued day - it ought to be treated with much more reverance than it gets.

Thank you for highlighting it, Charlie!

The U.S. asshat VP Vance commented that the only Labor Day that counts is the labor of a woman giving birth. 🤬 I thank the universe daily, for Charlie Angus, Canada, our global allies who still see us, and fellow U.S. citizens who rise and fight the good fight.

Labour Day in Mexico is celebrated on May 1st. It is a day to honor workers' achievements and advocate for workers' rights, marked by parades, demonstrations, and union activities. Mexicans are much closer to the meaning of the day, whereas in Canada and the US it has devolved to just the last weekend of summer and an excuse to drink beer and eat hot dogs.

We need to grow and strengthen the NDP. It is an ethical voice of reason in Parliament and the voice of Labour too.

Whereas:

Members of Parliament (MPs) have been accused of making important public statements that are false and without evidence;

Misinformation is a growing threat to the proper functioning of, as well as faith in, our democratic process;

A mechanism is needed to verify MPs’ public statements to maintain trust in our governing body;

Artificial Intelligence is amplifying misinformation;

Current events in the United States demonstrate the dangers of not addressing this problem; and

The Institute for Constitutional and Democratic Research (ICDR) of Wales, UK, proposed a white paper entitled “A Model for Political Honesty,” created because “the Welsh Government will bring forward legislation before 2026 for the disqualification of Members and candidates found guilty of deliberate deception through an independent judicial process and will invite the committee to make proposals to that effect.

Thanks for your words today Charlie, I was thinking yesterday about labor day and that it was sad and unsettling that my government doesn't care about me and the millions of hard working citizens and non citizens of the United States

Happy Labour Day from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan! Thanks for your passion and your leadership. Your voice is essential. Canada is facing an existential threat. If we can reach and mobilize ordinary Canadians from coast to coast to coast, nothing will stop us. And if we can support resistance in the US, even better. ELBOWS UP, CANADA!
