"...he won the election by offering himself as a wartime prime minister. We need him to be that war time prime minister now."

I recently wrote PM Carney a letter stating exactly that. He needs to know what Canadians want of him. And what we want of him doesn't include making nice with fascists, thugs, and adjudicated criminals that want to put their heels on our necks.

I support PM Carney, but I want & expect him to take a strong stand against Trump & against MAGA attempts to weaken our democratic ideals.

And I invite Canadians including Danielle Steele & Pierre Poilievre who think the US is the example of the direction we should want our country to go, to go move to the US & enjoy first hand the experience of having books banned, individual freedoms taken away like a woman’s right to make her own health decisions for her own body. Go experience life without health care. Go, live & travel throughout the US & see with your own eyes the ice raids with masked groups of men roughly tackling unarmed ppl to the ground to hand cuff them & cram them into overcrowded detention centers for extended periods of time. Go enjoy seeing them break the windows of cars to forcefully haul ppl through the broken window with their young children in the back seat crying & being traumatized by watching their father/mother being dragged through the broken window. And then you can continue to hear the frightened kids crying abandoned in the back seat of the car because they are left alone when their parents were violently dragged away in front of the them.

Go live your life there & send your kids to school while you go get groceries, or go to work, or go worship & live every day with the uncertainty of whether you & all of your family will see each other again at the end of the day because in the US, there’s more guns than there are ppl & the risk of a mass shooting is a reality.

If you think that kind of chaos & causing hatred of minorities & anyone who doesn’t look or think like you is a good direction for Canada, then please leave.

Negativity can only produce more negativity. Hateful rhetoric against minorities only divides & angers ppl. And division & hatred will eventually end in violence.

A country is stronger when its ppl unite. A country opens itself to a more expansive opportunity for creativity & diversity when it has a multicultural population. I love that about Canada. I want to live in a country that is moving in a positive direction. That is not the direction Trump & MAGA are taking the US.

If you like their movement, go move there.

His first mistake was allowing Trump here for the G7, and I know he really couldn't stop him. We need the US out of G7, G20 and NATO.. It is a huge issue because they are one step away from an authoritarian government, and I am sure that will change when he gets back to the US. They will be fully authoritarian if they are not stopped.

Oh you have nothing to worry about. America doesn’t need any more communists. We are trying to clean up what we have here. Soon we will be free of them. So, no worries Canada. I think we should close all borders to the U.S.

That would solve it.

Charlie you wrote:

“In writing this, I feel the need to state that I am rooting for Prime Minister Carney. Everyone knows that I am not a Liberal. I never will be. But he won the election by offering himself as a wartime prime minister. We need him to be that war time prime minister now.”

I agree whole heartedly.

The dynamics at play in the US are clearly those of a Government that is re writing the rule book and has given itself a pass on the rules they are writing. Mr Carney is not a politician which is both a strength and a liability. Trump and company are seasoned politicians and have no problem bending facts or refuting facts that do not fit their needs.

Canadians need to demonstrate that they will speak up when Mr Carney goes off into the weeds and get him back on the path. Criticism needs to be actionable and provided with visible public support to enforce the message to the US. We cannot relent. Mr Trump believes Canadians will become fatigued ’Standing Up for Canada’. We must not waiver because it truly is ‘us vs them’. We may lose some battles, but we must win this war

No. I would love to see Charlie as PM, but right now he is doing far more good as the face of Canadian resistance through his writings and music, than he would as an almost powerless backbencher of a sadly-diminished party.

Charlie rocks!

How did I miss this moment? It’s disgusting that such a thing should even be contemplated. Our cabinet lending an ear to someone whose “project” is to return women and minorities back to a pre-human rights, pre-civil rights era? I didn’t trust Carney from the start. No excuses for him or his advisors.

Biding our time until the Trump administration implodes should be part of the strategy, but helping it along and not compromising our principles in the process--namely Gaza and Ukraine--are key to keeping our integrity.

Charlie this is frightening. I am grateful that you are writing so clearly about the issues. But I do not feel empowered to act. I feel intimidated. I can only imagine how intimidating this must be for our leadership. I agree we need decisive and informed leadership and pray that we continue to get it despite the blips. We need Canada strong.

In my opinion, the Trump Regime has several distinct factions, all competing for power. They can be roughly divided into these groups:

USSR REVIVAL: Hammas Cabal/Putin/Israel/Trump

Epstein Files: The Trump/Epstein compromised in the Judiciary, GOP and Democrat organizations

Utopians: Musk/China/India

Top1%: Thiel and the Oligarchs

US Cabinet: Individual ambitious cut-throat members acting on their own interests

Heritage: CIC/Dr Kevin Roberts/Vought/Vance and sometimes Thiel as a go between.

I feel there isn't one central boss, although people are split upon whether it could be Trump, Putin, Thiel, or Dr. Roberts if there was.

For me, I see Thiel as a gopher, and not as a heavyweight leader. I also see Putin and Trump collaborating together without the reach Putin needs.

Thiel has always struggled to get people to do exactly what he wants. And, they often turn on him because of his ideas.

In his own words, Thiel said he tries not to get involved directly in politics because it drives him nuts. And, I believe it.

Athough Dr Roberts is a good candidate, he has said publicly he receives regular direction from CIC personnel:

One Blood Clot Away — Why Vance Was Always the Succession Plan

https://open.substack.com/pub/dissentinbloom/p/one-blood-clot-away-why-vance-was

Out of all of the players there are, I suspect somebody yet to be identified in the CIC, is behind a lot of the formation, sustainment, and policies of the Trump Regime.

They are probably not a well known figure in political circles, and have taken advantage of the job role they fell into in the early 80s.

This person hands Roberts CIC's objectives, and it's Roberts responsibility to turn them into policy. Trump's responsibility is to implement whatever Roberts comes up with (you don't think Trump has been coming up with all this shit himself? He has no brains.)

Roberts is a historian and not a tactical politician or strategist. Roberts happens to also be a client of the "Center for Renewing America" - Russel Vought's thinktank - which he calls on to develop policies for CIC's objectives.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Vought

Thiel is also a client of Vought's, but for different reasons. Likely to get help for his businesses and how to deal with different kinds of people.

So, Vought is the connection between Roberts and Thiel. If Roberts needs somebody to be funded for something, he reaches out to Thiel through Vought. (Except for Trump. Trump is a money black hole nobody wants to touch anymore, and Trump grifts to raise funds for himself.)

If Carney is calling on Dr. Roberts, it's likely because he wants Dr. Roberts to explain this connection and what was meant by his CIC comments.

BUT (and this is an important anomily) - the CIC is a confederated entity of Opus Dei, a bishop's office in the Vatican established in 1928.

Opus Dei cultivates big bosses in Gods name

https://www.proshare.co/articles/opus-dei-cultivates-big-bosses-in-gods-name?menu=Market&classification=Read&category=General

And, Ruth MARIA Kelly - the UK Financial Secretary to the Treasury (May 2002 thru December 2004), and the Economic Secretary to the Treasury (June 2001 - May 2002) under Tony Blair - has declared herself to be a practicing member of Opus Dei:

Ruth Maria Kelly

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Kelly#Religion

Now, coincidently there is also a SECOND Ruth Kelly, who is famous and looks a lot like the first Ruth Maria Kelly. She lived in the same home town that Mark Carney came from: Edmonton.

Dynamic magazine publisher Ruth Kelly dies at 60

https://edmontonjournal.com/news/local-news/edmonton-publisher-ruth-kelly-dies

The two Ruth Kellys even had the same clothes, in addition to identical eye color, head shape, height, build, and haircuts.

Maybe it's an artifact that they were both red heads and that's the only thing they could find that matches and fits. I dunno.

So, did Mark Carney get recruited into Opus Dei by Ruth Kelly (pick whichever one), and during his tenure at Bloomberg and Brookfield in the United States, affiliate himself with the CIC in DC?

What I mean is, and Charlie Angus seems to be asking: was Carney inviting Dr. Roberts over as a recognized colleague and alley, or to get to know and gather intelligence on an unknown enemy?

It's really hard to tell.

To join the CIC, you have to be a Christian, and Carney is Roman Catholic. Carney has never spoken about his private life, other than saying it was none of anybody's business.

And, the CIC obscurifies its membership records by listing initials instead of names.

What we do know is Mark Carney was Governor of the Bank of England between 2013 and 2020, long after Ruth Maria Kelly's time.

She left politics in 2010, and it's impossible that their paths could have ever crossed. Well, sort of - if you consider there's a double.

Mark Carney

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Carney

So, what is the CIC? It goes back to the Solidarity Union movement in Poland, Pope John Paul II, and the Ronald Reagan administrarion. It was established by - of all people - Pope John Paul II in 1982 as a "Personal Prelature". It's still the only one in existence under this particular mandate:

Canadian Conference of Canadian Bishops

Ecclesiastical Circumscriptions

Personal Prelature

https://www.cccb.ca/the-catholic-church-in-canada/ecclesiastical-circumscriptions/personal-prelature/

The CIC was meant to be a communication hub so that the CIA could talk directly with Vatican personnel without having to get permission each time from the pope, during Solidarity's shakedown of the USSR.

Poles are very religious, and the Solidarity union often consulted clergy in their planning. So, Reagan needed a bridge to them.

But, the pope also wanted to ensure the CIC was aware of, and followed the values of the Vatican. He insisted its CIA operatives were ordained into Vatican Christianity.

The thing was, the CIC ran itself and did NOT actually report to a Cardinal. The local Cardinal only monitored the CIC for conformance to the Vatican's "licensing" requirements. Cardinals did not actually oversee CIC operations. The CIA did.

Since the USSR became dissolved, and Pope John Paul II died, nobody ever dismantled the CIC. It continued to operate as a political clandestine unit with some of its original operatives, who then changed its objectives.

And, these were priests who were concerned their religion and culture were fading.

The thing is, a political organization that is classified as a religion in the United States is very difficult to investigate and prosecute under the American Constitution which gaurentees freedom of religion practices.

One of the conditions of Pope John Paul II was that the CIC provide all the services prescribed by the Vatican. Which under its license, the CIC does.

So, now we have these bizzare political/religious hybrid signatures all over the place.

Trump became a publisher of Bibles, which mix conservative policy doctrine and scriptures.

Who would benefit from, or even pay to print something like that? Like, think about it. Would a church accept a shipment of such Bible's from a publisher that snuck such content in to sell to their Congress?

Trump was also confirmed as Presbyterian around 1958, which is similar to catholisism. Around 2020, Trump announced he was a nondenominational Christian which would qualify him for Opus Dei membership.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_and_religion

But, it's not the only strange conversion that's happened during the Trump regime.

There's Vance. In his hillbilly book he clearly depicted his family as atheist. When he married Usha, he adopted HER religion, which is Hinduism.

Hinduism is very different from Christianity. It believes in multiple deities. It is practiced a lot like yoga, through meditation and daily spiritual communion. It has a code of conduct called the darmha, much like Hebrew kosher rules. And, it has libraries of its own Bibles - one for each God.

Vance has two daughters that are growing up under Hinduism.

And, suddenly Vance decides to get baptised? Talk about setting off a powder keg at home.

Then, there is the supreme Court's focus on Rode vs Wade. Of all the things they struck down, why endanger half the population's lives?

They could have done many other horrible things that didn't kill anyone - like banning Spanish as America's second national language. Instead, they picked abortion.

Why is Trump spending so much effort in getting the Roman Catholic "Our Father" prayer recited daily in public schools? If you are going to do that, then why not do it with the pledge of alligence? Or Lincoln's Gettysburg address?

And, there are hundreds of other examples. Charlie Kirk was an Evangelistic fund raiser for himself, who was killed by a Bible thumper, whose dad used to be a Sherif, that had to call a pastor to get permission to arrest his son? Does that make any sense?

We still don't know what happened in that case. But, clearly there is an extensive backstory to it.

A Greedy Grifter, Not a Martyr: Charlie Kirk Unveiled

https://beingliberal.substack.com/p/a-greedy-grifter-not-a-martyr-charlie

So, why does all this religious shit keep coming up? Unless, whoever is driving things lives daily life in a religious context.

And, it's not the pope or the Vatican. CIC operates independently of them.

Gerald Butts climate bureaucrats all remain in place, and are now lead by his friend, PM Carney. Having read Carney's manifesto entitled "Values", I have no doubt that Carney will force energy poverty on Canadians in his drive to achieve net zero and transition Canada to a command style economy, society and system of governance. There are no fat rebels, but that is quickly changing.

I agree! I hated this idea when I first heard it and was very against him visiting our country for any reason whatsoever. I trust that PM Carney is a steady hand on the tiller and that he knows what he’s doing, but I agree that giving any ground up and trying to come to any sort of ‘agreement’ with these people is futile at best. I agree we have to resist. They will take any opportunity to weaken us and exploit it for their own gain without hesitation.

Thanks for all that you do, Charlie.
