Love love love

KEEP CALM AND CARNEY ON.

To my Canadian sisters and brothers so proud of all of you. Showing the World how strong all of you are. Stay Strong

Elbow UP.

I was against djt going to the G7 but it showed the World again how unintelligent he is and his cognitive decline is progressing at a quick pass.

Thank you Charlie with you prospective.

Canada 🇨🇦 is so very fortunate to have Prime Minister Mark Carney at the helm.

Canada hold the line.

♥️🇨🇦🍁🇺🇸♥️

As a Canadian, I would be happy if my province never reinstates USA alcohol products on our shelves. As you said so perfectly in your article: People are holding the line. We need our leaders to stand firm as well.

Trump is just a big chicken baby! He left because he was afraid to face Zulenski and other world leaders. Plus, we didn't have a McDonald's nearby to get his chicken nuggets. He was outclassed, outsmarted and outplayed, period.

Did Trump fall asleep at the G7 table before or after Carney told him about the new Canadian sanctions on Russia?

What happened to Donnie’s right hand - swollen to twice the size of his left in pictures on his departure?

We know the junk PR about his reasons to skedaddle; do you think he had a tantrum and meant to embarrass Carney? Maybe the super “deal” will answer that question.

btw - my family is all from Cobalt, Charlie, and proud to have you speak for them.

Just been listening to two videos on YouTube by Timothy Snyder. 1. Short 5min video on how to make a deal.( not happening with Trump)

2. 22 lessons read by John Lithgow. Very pertinent today, even although written in his book on Tyranny in 2016.(Snyder). Well worthwhile a listen.

You hit trump’s behaviour at G7 dead on. He is a buffoon with a one track mind. PM Carney will manage a way through this threat. He is far smarter than Trump and I am sure than Smith or Moe.

The draw of the US is understandable but trump regimes are different. This time his path was written for him- whether he knows it is another question-by the 2025 team now leading his administration. The strong man theme is Trump and he plays at it at every opportunity without thought for consequences or what he needs in order to make things happen. Iran must be looking at him now he is in a 180/180 turn on nuclear capability in Iran. He is very ignorant about Iran, its people and its culture. He thinks they will cave as soon as he talks. He has no idea what other countries think of him.

He left the G7 on the pretence that he had control over Iran and could stop the war. He and his even more ignorant administration are creating chaos at a time the world needs steadiness. For Canada’s sake I hope Carney can keep us out of the fray. I think he can but he needs help to be a politician.

American governors meeting with our premiers is amusing. Their states are suffering financially due to Canadian resistance to visit and spend in their states.

And maybe our premiers might inform the governors that Canadians have "SUBSIDIZED" the US through our snowbirds, tourism and purchases for DECADES. Canadians need to support our own provinces and companies.

Danielle Smith is a goddamn Maple-MAGA disgrace. I'd not be surprised if she's sipping NAPA Valley wine and Kentucky bourbon all while giving Canada the finger. Our gormless anti-science Premier doesn't want to be a Premier at all; she wants to be Governor Smith, and she's got a gang of UCP lumpens who think that's just a fine idea.

Good day SIR you did it again!!! Boy, how I wish you were Prime Minister. You are strong!! Your words are truth.....I was disgusted that Trump was allowed into Canada for the G7. We are not like other countries, we do not bully anyone. We do not threaten anyone and that's who we are but in this situation we can bare our teeth and snarl.....I would love to see Canada join BRICS and not use american money. If Carney bends and pays into that Golden Dome I will be so pissed. We don't need it we are not fearful. People may think that Trump is totally responsible for what is happening now. He is not. Bush Jr started this with his comment about a 4th cruisade..and his ficticious invasion of Iraq that ignited the Muslim world. We are divided as East vs West. We have 1 country that will be the New World Leader and that is China

China has said they will be on Iran's side...that should tell you something. So, Charlie, you're not old....I don't hear a voice from the NDP party and I don't understand what has happened with it's status being at the bottom now. Please try and come back because we really need you. Other Canadians are feeling and speaking like we are in our disappointment, just just as americans who voted for Trump are now feeling.....I have a question for you but I am going to email you...I hope you get it and read it because I consider it a very important question. Have a great day SIR

I disagree with you on your assessment of Trump’s importance and contributions to the G7. Rather it was the other six nations taking upon themselves equal roles in the decisions the G7 traditionally looks to the US to direct. But it was easier than they feared because it was clear even to those of us who only received snippets of commentary that Trump was weak and unable to actively participate in their discussions. He is a spent force. Carney is now the true leader of western democracies, capable of leading Europe and Japan and India toward a more balanced and calmer world.

All Canadians should be proud of their prime minister’s actions and words.

Why should any country be afraid of the US? We used to lead from a position of common good. Now it seems to be about bullying and extorting. Good people must say no. Carney did that and politely too.

I’ve been disappointed. Y our governments response to Trump. The thinking they “this government” can do better or be the exception, to Trumps illegal tariffs is wrong minded and sends a message they all those before were weak, incompetent or the like and that they have the magic formula. Well, I’ve not seen it. Although the media sure is sounding the pipes and drums for this government at every turn. I would like to base our decisions on actions, factual evidence. Trump will never negotiate in good faith. Why try?
