We have to look at who is changing Alberta’s laws stripping rights, running down education, healthcare and giving monopolies to families through economic exploitation to create kleptocracies.
Could an (underground swell) of law students or young, or old, lawyers with conviction or little to lose attend these courts, sit in the spectator area, and (Hopefully) when an unaccompanied minor comes up on the docket, the law educated attendee stands up to represent the child??? It may not stop the child going but it is a clear witnessing of events with a shot at getting the child into foster care or out of jail, or as I said eye witness testimony for the press or later human rights violation charges to be levvied; Would those volunteers be prepared to be bullied or incarcerated, their family targeted? It's scary out there now. Can enough people do this in different areas of cities/courts/states and unite a press conference. They (t's govt) are 'disappearing' people of many origins and beliefs. He has literally put a supply and demand into the child trafficking rings. He is sicker than we thought, if THAT is even possible!
Never forget that Trump put children in detention centers like dogs in cages, left starving and found by the Biden administration. Over 500 were never found alive…
More Canadians need to understand the heartlessness of USA's Republican Party. Here's another taste of Republican cruelty in a 27-second clip where Democrat, Dan Goldman, exposes the cruelty of Trump's Republican Party: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Tkkt7gTTeXo
I am MAGA but I Don't support this however never forget Barack Obama deported more people than another American president there’s a reason why he is called the reporter in chief and something else where are their parents isn't it irresponsible for them to have taken those little girls to cross the border which us dangerously controlled by the cartels
Biden lost more than 300,000 children of illegal immigrants—LOST!—as ICE and DHS have no idea where they went or where they are. All that brouhaha about Trump putting kids in cages during his first term and how Biden was gonna end that practice? Yeah, it didn't happen—kids were kept in the same cages and in fact the detention centers (AKA "cages") used to house those kids expanded in both number and scope as he allowed 8+ million illegals to invade our country.
NO ONE from those liberal gaslighting rags like WaPo, NYTimes, CNN, MSNBC, and more ever called Biden or his administration out on that bullshit.
Why the fuck not??
And why the gaslighting bullshit feigning disgust at "Trump" (it's not him, it's immigration control officers) doing the same. exact. thing. that his predecessors did?
Biden did it.
Obama did it.
Dubya did it.
But suddenly Trump doing it is a sign of the fascist apocalypse???
When are you assholes ever going to tire of lying to and gaslighting the American—and now Canadian—people?
Or is the practice "acceptable" when your political party is in office, but when your opposition party is in office, suddenly it's either (a) never been done before or (b) heralds the rise of Hitler 2.0?
Plan how to get to the polling station to vote today (Monday April 28 2025).
Check with Elections Canada Voter Information Service to find where your polling station is. Elections Canada does not change polling station locations after sending out the voter cards.
As long as you are in the lineup before the closing time, you will still be allowed in.
You need to bring a piece of government issued photo ID that has your name and current address on it. The voter card is just an invitation to come out and vote, it's not required for the actual vote. But, the ID is
Arrange transportation if you don't have any. Parties in most ridings have volunteers on hand to give rides to polling stations and back home again. Call days ahead of time to arrange one.
If you have already voted and have a car, consider volunteering in your riding to give rides.
Trumps son Barron and grandparents along with Malenia deserve the same treatment as that expelled family. SHE was a working girl when she came, met trump got pregnant and Barron is technically a baby conceived illegally.
Poilivere says healthcare and biological evolution is all Trudeau's fault. Pierre underplays that premiers like Danial Smith and Doug Ford, chose what their healthcare transfer funding was spent on. It's conservatives that cut down your health, and why hospitals are in such bad shape now.
And Poilivere wants to continue this, by cutting $70 million each year on hospital medical residency spots, for a total of $280 million over his entire regime. pg27
Every aspiring doctor has to do a residency for at least a year, in order to graduate from university, and be certified to practice medicine. This includes physio therapists, who undergo similar programs as doctors. And, so do other specialists such as dentists, oncologists, orthopedic surgeons, etc.
Fewer residency spots means fewer new doctors entering the profession.
It seems Poilivere wants to bypass all this, and hand out medical licenses in cracker Jack boxes. It'll be the luck of the draw who, or what, gets to work on you. It could even be a taxicab driver.

Carney says while health care is an American business down south, it’s a right in Canada.
$4 billion will be allocated to improve community health care infrastructure. He will invest in public long-term care and improve access to team-based care. And, he will provide funding for expensive machinery like MRIs. pg23
Carney is concerned hospitals and clinics are closing at the same time health care needs are growing. He says it’s time to reverse the trend Mike Harris had started. We have to replace the hospitals that were lost, so that Canadians have access to the care they need. Whether that's for emergencies, cancer, or hip replacements.
And, speaking of dental, Carney is committed on expanding federal dental care to uninsured Canadians. Too many in today's gig economy don't have it, because of no employer benefits. pg24
Carney's platform was released Saturday April 19th, the day after Good Friday
Poilivere's platform was later released on Tuesday April 22nd, the day after Pope Francis died.
Identical policies appearing in both documents are assumed to have been lifted from Carney's and copied by Poilivere into his, given their original release dates.
The above link should take you to a complete list of who supports an empathic response to the genocide in Gaza.......and a brief outline of the Palestine support platform.
It's not hard to see who refuses to look away from genocide....and koodoos to the few Liberal candidates in Alberta who are standing up.
🍁 When, and if, Gaza has an election, you can vote for Gaza issues there. But, this is Canada's election. It's for us.
I don't know if you noticed, it's Donald Trump who wants to turn the Gaza strip, into "Trump Land" and not Canada. He wants to get rid of ALL Palestinians, whether they be adults or children. He doesn't care where they go, or even if they stay live. He just cares they are gone.
If he did care about Palestinians, he would let all of them into the United States. But, oopsey - he's deporting anything that doesn't look like a white Christian to El Salvador's death prison now.
Canada takes in people from Palestine. And, you should feel lucky that we do.
Because, Canada may not be around anymore to do it, if Poilivere gets elected. He will just hand us over to Donald Trump.
You need to realize Palestine and Israel are being played off each other by Putin for this very reason. He is advising and funding both sides to divide Palestinians and Jews in America.
Netanyahu had changed his name. It once used to be Mileikowsky, and he was a childhood friend of Putin.
Mousa Marzook, a billionaire and one of the key leaders of Hamas, is also strongly connected to Putin. He gets weapons from him.
This is Carney's take:
"Canada is a nation of values. We champion human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. These values are the basis of the 80 years of peace and prosperity that saw Canada grow and take its place in the world." pg19
"Today, these values are under threat, including from our neighbours to the south who are attacking our sovereignty, and violating their trade agreements to wage economic war that threatens our way of life."
"It was a Canadian who drafted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It was a Canadian who came up with the concept of a UN peacekeeping force. In this crisis, we will not forget what Canada stands for – a world where everyone can live with equal rights, dignity, and respect."
"Pierre Poilievre has said that he will make “massive cuts” to Canada’s foreign aid. Liberals will continue to stand."
We are under attack from Donald Trump, and your focus should be on voting what is good for Canada, WHERE YOU LIVE RIGHT NOW.
This election is about Canada's future, and whether we continue to exist as a caring people and democracy, and not a nest of greedy rats.
When, and if, Gaza has an election, you can vote for Gaza issues there. But, this is Canada's election. It's for us.
>>"If he did care about Palestinians, he would let all of them into the United States."
Other Middle East Muslim countries—like Libya, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and Iran—won't accept Palestinian refugees. Maybe ask yourself why that's an immutable FACT and why, with such different cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds, Canada or the United States should be taking in Palestinian refugees when their neighboring countries refuse to do so.
I've known some Palestinians that showed me their "Palestinian Card". It's like a citizenship card where they can live in one of five neighboring Arab countries.
They aren't technically citizens of the host country because they are citizens of a virtual Palestinian government that they themselves elect. I don't know the details, but the guy I talked to was not born in the 1940s. He was born in the 1960s, and was a decendant of two if the originally displaced Palestinians.
The idea is once Palestine is re-established, the Palestinian government and its citizens can move to the new land. If I remember, he had a Jordan Palestinian card. And, I know it talks about camps, but these were real communities with buildings, roads, stores, housing, etc. It's not a tent city.
As for current refugees from Gaza, they are covered by a similar thing where they have an Israeli Palestine psudeu citizenship., so maybe that's why the other countries are not accepting them? I know such a card is useless given the autrocities Netanyahu is doing. I haven't heard whether they can go to the other five.
No, the reason why other neighboring Muslim countries are unwilling to accept Palestinian refugees is because the *last* time mass refugees took up residence in Jordan and Lebanon those assholes tried overthrowing the Jordanian monarchy.
Palestinians are unhinged crazy fuckers who have no desire for peace—and those that are tired of being used as human shields by Hamas in the endless war against the Zionists are rounded up and tortured before being executed.
I remember the PLO days in the 60's and how airlines were being hijacked weekly and passengers on planes being held hostage.
And, the guy who showed me his Palestinian card at work had changed his busy windows mouse cursor on his computer to a mushroom cloud going off from an atomic explosion.
BTW, I am polish Canadian Roman Catholic and not arabic, and what I am describing happened in Mississauga Ontario.
As for the "crazy fuckers", I can attest to another conversation I had with a guy that came back from Iraq. He wasn't Palestinian or Iraqi, maybe he was from Pakistan? I don't know. He had light skin, and he twitched a lot.
He was telling me about how marriages worked. He said the kids did not have a choice in who they got married to - their parents decided that. He said families would get together and arrange "dowrys".
He then said, both families came from the same family lineage. I asked him what he meant by that. He said that often people married second or third cousins. I asked him why? He said because you can't trust strangers that won't steal everything. The family's money stays in the same family this way.
"Won't that cause generic damage?" I asked while watching him twitch his head some more.
He then said, "No, why should it?" as he experienced three more ticks.
For me, I see two sets of Palestinians. One are common folk. The other is freedom fighters trying to get their country back. I refer to them as the "Cabal". And, that includes groups like the PLO.
Now, I'll ask you a question that I want you to take seriously. What would the Cabal do with a time machine if they got their hands on one? How do you think they would use it? What would they do with one?
There never was a "country" of Palestine so your question of what the cabal would do if they got their hands on a time machine is irrelevant. Why?
Because the history of the world has been one long continuous stretch of war, invasion, the rise and fall of empires, and conquest. It's only in recent decades that stable national borders have come into existence—and then, in more than a few cases, regions of those borders are still wildly contested. So while Palestinians may have a history of living in the region, they have no more right to consider it "their" country than do Bedouins who'd want to create their own country that runs from Morocco to Saudi Arabia and south into Chad.
Andy: When you march against genocide, send money to agencies supporting Palestinian citizens......read Chris Hedges and watch in horror when Drop Site News posts facebook posts of Israeli soldiers doing controlled demolitions of Palestinian homes after their owners have been told to vacate..........you pay attention.
And yes. Donald Trump is the most blatant of the pro Zionists in the USA. But Joe Biden didn't earn his title of genocidal Joe for being impartial..........
And as to your fantasies about Putin orchestrating the entire horror......blow it out your ear. You can find shots of Justin Trudeau declaring himself a Zionist, Housefather lamenting there may be no place in the Liberal party for him if Liberals supported the NDP ceasefire call...........but Putin is the threat???
Canada is a place where a lot of complacent people like to think they're on the side of the angels. But as long as we support 'Israel's right to defend itself' and wink at ethnic cleansing...as long as we send weapons to help Neten yahoo.....and wink at Israeli bombing of Lebanon, Syria.......we're not the champions of human rights you imagine.
Doing nothing.....while defending that nothing with virtue signals about how much we passively support 'the rule of law' is an obscenity for all of us who can imagine what we're supporting in Gaza...........the West Bank.........and surrounding countries.
But sure.....try to lecture me with your 'just so story'. The real forces interested in 'opinion control' have been shutting down peaceful protests at universities....and not just in the USA. The real threat we face is from a bellicose right wing that continues to believe American 'peacekeepers' keep the peace.........and American made bombs defend anything remotely ressembling 'values'.
Imperial colonialism still believes it has the right to other people's land...and resources. Canada continues to take part in that global land theft. Gaza is the poster child for the process.
I am not saying what Israel is doing to Hamas is okay. It is insane and criminal. Netanyahu needs to be prosecuted and jailed for it.
What I am saying is don't use our election to resolve your war. Do you really believe Canada is sending weapons to Israel? That if Canada somehow vanished off the face of the earth the Gaza war will suddenly stop?
No, it won't. Because Canada wasn't contributing to the war, other than its private citizens sending their money to both sides.
You want it to stop? THEN STOP ATTACKING EACH OTHER
Why are you guys are still doing it? Because you each have the same devil whispering in your ear saying they will stand behind you because you are right. Except Putin is doing it on both sides.
I understand the plight of Palestine. And, I don't agree with your country having been handed to the UN for it to have been made into the state of Israel. But, you both are being played off with each other by an asshole. It isn't Canada doing it.
You are a citizen here. And, you have the same RESPONSIBILITY to look out for Canada as you do for your homeland. Don't try to turn Canada into a second government for Gaza. It's not. We are a sovereign nation too you know.
Like what do you want to happen? Let Poilivere get elected so he can hand us over it Trump and have OUR kids start to get deported and killed?
Canada is a country that goes out and helps others more than anyone else. But, taking care of our own survival always comes first. Our election is not a weapon for your war
Andy......last I heard Canada still sends military equipment to Israel....not as much as America for sure, but we haven't as yet divested from arms to Israel. We also let money raised to equip the Israeli government....and send Canadian boys into the Israeli military, be labelled as charity...and so tax free.
Some of those loopholes have been closed...
But once you start going on about STOP ATTACKING EACH OTHER...I have no idea what you are talking about.
People protesting the genocide in Gaza are asking for Canadian divestment from the Israeli government war effort.......that is all. Your accusation of turning Canada into a 'second government for Gaza' MAKE NO SENSE.
I don't think you understand either the protests.....or the efforts in Canada to shut down those protests. But you do seem determined to believe Canada is the good guy..........and somehow immune from responsibility if we continue to support Israel...........and refuse to act in opposition to the ongoing genocide.
Everyone has to make up their own mind what they are willing to condone or not condone. For me........turning a blind eye to genocide is not on. Luckily, I have a party to vote for who agrees with me about the seriousness of what is happening in the Middle East.
I can vote my conscience........and remain a proud Canadian, not hoodwinked by virtue signalling.
The two sides I refer to is Palestine/Hamas vs Israel. You are both initiating attacks on each other, and a lot of it is Putin urging each side to do it.
On the Palestinian side, he is telling it's leaders he will sell them weapons and understands their plight. Is this a coincidence? No, Palestine needed a military ally as powerful as the United States that is supporting Israel. Palestine used to have the USSR, until it fell apart. So, they helped groom Putin in an effort to restore their former ally.
And, Putin personally knows Netanyahu because they grew up together as kids. While you're getting weapons from Putin, Putin is exposing all the attacks Hamas is about to do to Netanyahu. Then, Netanyahu pre-empts them aggressively.
And, you guys are slugging away at each other because of this dynamic.
I don't care how you personally vote, and why you choose to vote the way you do.
But, when you start making posts telling other people to not vote for candidates because Gaza is not at the top of their minds, even though those candidates are good for Canada, then you crossed the line. You are trying to weaponize our election for your war instead of the good of Canada.
This same thing happened in the USA for the 2024 election. There were Palestinian protests against Kamala for the same issues you sited, where it was found Russian agents were the protest leaders. And, we can see how that turned out.
THis is crazy analysis my friend. Who do you think you're discussing with??
''You're getting weapons from Putin??? Who is the 'you' you refer to??? It sounds as if you imagine Putin is working with Neten yahoo...but that is a conspiracy fiction you could enter for Political Fantasy of the Year......if there were such awards.
The reality is horrific in its simplicity. The American hegemony.....which includes Canada and Europe......supports Israel....is tied in with Israel in ways most of us are just discovering..........so the its THE WEST, Andy.......not some Russian gulag fantasy..........that supplies Neten yahoo and the Zionists in Israael with the weapons they're using to carpet bomb Gaza.
Trying to create an alternative narrative of Russian sculduggery just reveals the extent to which the western powers often get away with murder.....by deflecting the situation to the Russia phobia they've built up in the population since the end of WWII.
We need to take responsibility for what our governments do. Stop giving Washington a permanent free hall pass......because we fear Russia. SERIOUSLY.
If Russia was the threat we're told to believe it is........that snailmate in Ukraine would have been over in 6 months. Actually....if the west hadn't been poking Russia hoping for a quick victory......maybe there'd have been no war at all.
Still: ITS GAZA THAT BEST REVEALS WHAT THE WEST IS WILLING TO CONDONE...IF ITS AN ALLY DOING IT. Time we sucked up that fact, assuming both you and I are Canadians..........and just complicit, not actual combatants.
Where is the evidence showing either side listens to Putin? What evidence is there that Putin and Netanyahu grew up together? Where is the evidence that Russian agents led protests against Kamela Harris? Have you been watching fox?
Totally NOT a Trump fan.... however this was happening before Trump got in power..it was happening during the Biden administration...hardly a peep was heard!!
Well, that's not true. The Biden administration built a pontoon island to get relief supplies in when Israel blocked all routes for humanistic aid organizations. Biden did a lot of other things to put pressure on Israel to stop.
But, you have to remember, Biden is not Israel's president. Netanyahu is. That's the guy who controls Israeli armies. And, it's not exactly Biden's fault that American Jewish citizens choose to make donations to the state of Israel, anymore than American Palestinians make donations to Palestine/Gaza.
The Biden administration’s vision for postwar Gaza
Biden's administration (your link) has no vision for post-war Gaza. It is a brag sheet of what **they** consider wins from the administration but fails to acknowledge Iranian influence through its proxies against Israel, or what the "relations with, between, and among US partners in the region" looks like.
Nothing of substance.
Nothing about how to develop Gaza economically since 85% of its GDP comes from foreign (read: predominantly USAID) humanitarian aid.
Nothing about how Israel has a right to exist peacefully in the region, unmolested by antagonistic zealots hellbent on seeing the utter destruction of not just the political governance of the Jewish state but the very people themselves.
In other words, their extermination.
And that is PRECISELY why there cannot be peace between Palestine and Israel, because Hamas has poisoned the minds of average Gazans with the dehumanizing idea that Israelis are worse than dog shit, deserving to be scraped off the shoe of anyone walking the world stage.
Israel has made generous offers to Gaza for a long-term peace deal, all of which have been refused by Hamas (and the Palestinian Authority prior to it.) You said before that if you want peace that lasts, to "STOP ATTACKING EACH OTHER." The evidence is clear which of the two entities truly want peace and which one doesn't—because while Israel is *willing* to attempt a long-term peace, Hamas and its supporters fundamentally believe that no long-term peace can exist so long as Israel is allowed to exist.
Therefore, the fighting and needless bloodshed will continue, and it will all be the fault of Iran, its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah, and those nations who support the eradication of the Zionists as a PRE-CONDITION to "peace."
It absolutely is true. Joe Biden's administration continued to supply the bombs Israel uses to flatten it's open air prison. Imagining American Jewish money is funding the genocide is typical of people who want to be the experts.........while working the propaganda that keeps their side innocent...........no matter what their side is actually doing.
All the protests being shut down in the USA are asking that AMERICA DIVESTS FROM ISRAEL...AND STOPS SENDING WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION TO ISRAEL.
Whatever their 'vision for post genocide Gaza was Andy: THE AMERICAN ARMS DEALERS WERE MAKING BIG MONEY PRODUCING THE WEAPONS THAT HAVE KILLED SO MANY CIVILIANS...in defiance of international law.
No amount of propaganda can erase that historical fact.
I agree with your assessment about Biden and the military sector selling arms to Israel. Biden should have stopped it early and not after the us election.
Bugaboo is saying the opposite, that Israel had a right to defend itself and therefore a right to weapons.
But, as long as these to sides are listening to others whether that is Iraq, Biden, or Putin rather their own citizens, this is going to go on forever. nobody can make you stop. you guys have to both decide to yourselves.
Now, that doesn't mean sweep the unfairness of loosing ones country under the rug. Israel is occupying illegally allocated land. When Britain invaded Mesopotamia, they divided it to conquer Arabs. then, they moved all the ones giving them trouble into a tiny region called Palestine and gave it to the UN just to piss them off.
So now, you have this fight to the death where both sides are convinced they are entitled to the same piece of land by God.
clearly, this was the wrong way to partion land for the state of Israel. the land was once a single country: Mesopotamia.
It's the British who sub divided it into Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. so clearly, bring it back and resubdivide it (if you want to) fairly. It doesn't even have to be subdivided. just bring Mesopotamia back, and give some corner of it to Israel.
But, Canada cannot do this. we cannot force you to bring back the country the British once invaded. we cannot tell you remove the British sub divisions. you guys have to decide to do that amongst yourselves.
But, trying to kill of one side or the other until they are extinct is not the way to go about this
For me, empathy is what differentiate humans from a pile of shit. Even, animals have empathy. I would have never thought seeing this kind of events in my living life.
Life that has no empathy is broken. Any creature that isn't able to relate to its environment or organisms around it doesn't get propagated by evolution.
And, another way to look at empathy is on a scale of connectivity. At the low-end, you are brain dead. At the high-end, you are part of a group.
PP’s star candidate, Aaron Gunn, is famous for his cruel and dehumanizing videos of vulnerable people on the Downtown East Side of Vancouver. The tactics and division of the Poilievre conservatives mirror Trump and fascist tropes.
As far as Vancouver downtown goes, the problem is if you are financially broke, it's not easy to go or move somewhere else where you can make a living. The street people I talked to there were stuck because of the mountains.
"Street people were stuck there because of the mountains"?
Bullshit.
Illegal aliens coming into the southern border of the U.S. from Venezuela have crossed 4800 km (300 miles) of desert and mountain terrain to rainforest jungle and everything in between, facing uncertainty and often sexual assault, robbery, and more.
Don't tell me that some homeless dude in Vancouver can't move elsewhere for a job because of a fucking mountain range. They stay because there are benefits available locally that disincentivizes moving.
Look, I do not live in Vancouver. I am in Ontario. When I visited Vancouver, I drove to the "strip" or main Street where all the businesses were bordered up. I parked, got out of the car and walked around.
The street was deserted except for a few homeless people. I gave them some money and asked them what happened and listened to each of their stories.
The theme of being stuck came up over and over again. I believe they were telling the truth. I did not interview a group It was random individuals in different places. The story was the same each time. They did not look or act like they wanted to be there. They were desperate to get out, but the means to do so was not there.
I also know people over the internet who lived in other parts of BC further north of Vancouver on the mainland. They reported having the same kind of homeless problem in their area, and again, those people had no way of getting to anywhere
If you live in Vancouver, you know the main way to get there is plane. next is by boat. Then by car. but, driving in the mountains is not the safest because there are lots of avalanches - either snow or mudslides
CTV news reported a 30 year old misguided male has rammed his car into a crowd of his own fellow Canadians, killing 9 so I am once more asking how this civilized Canadian society can have within its midst any individual so extremely upset they would do such a horrible act and am reminded of Medical research documenting our young male segment having brains slower to develop compared to females of the same age, imagining this person in online hate groups sopping up all the racist rants of others. He would undoubtedly possess a weaker mind to do such a thing. I re-read some of the substack comments from yesterday and am finding a few who support Pierre Polievre who is deliberately latching onto our own fears to propose suspension of our constitution even as the constitution actually protects all Canadians, is suppressing or defunding certain media to rob us of balanced reporting and verified facts, and pitting us against each other by calling out a few disadvantaged individuals of society. This is irresponsible and dangerous leadership.
For those of you who support him, consider how you got yourself into such a state of mind and reflect upon the mass murder in Vancouver today. If your state of mind and reason you support such a hate filled politician is driven by a failure to look actively for facts and if you do not seek peer reviewed research you need to start doing so. For example, ask yourself honestly how it makes any sense to google a hate algorithm word in order to find accurate and balanced reporting of current events online. There is a lot to this subject which may help to explain the new effect which Google has on us all. That is how members of a US society can deport children believing they did their job properly and how a young stupid male in Vancouver can drive his car into a crowd of fellow citizens believing they are a threat. Our democracy was set up with its protective institutions after years of war in witness to the worst imaginable human behavior. We all should stop trying to reinvent the wheel. I will pay my own respect to the families of the 9 dead people today in Van as follows: "If you support Pierre Polievre and his followers you, along with them, are the among the weakest minds in our midst and a clear danger to our democracy and its protective institutions."
Some good reflections. However, calling the perpetrator of this tragedy 'stupid' may reflect your own lack of 'empathy'. For quite a long while now, I've noticed the majority of us fall back into insult.......to explain situations like what happened in Vancouver.
I think we all tend to downplay the effects isolation can have...how hard it might be to be a young person with no supports....how nasty might be the culture we've created for those who don't have any of the advantages many of us take for granted.
We've had the homeless and the addicted with us for at least a decade. We lament the problem, blame this, that or the other thing. Few have the empathy required to ask: What happened to these people? Where did civil society break down? Where did profit overtake care?? Where did the opportunities for all decline to the obscene wealth of a few fat cats???
What happened in Vancouver is a horror. But what happened to all those young men in the USA........deported without due process, because a police force decided tatoos identified them as members of 'a Venezuelan gang' is a horrific crime as well.
There's simply not enough empathic analysis........thinking from the place of the heart.....to tie together all the strands that too often today, culminate in senseless Violence.
The innocent suffer. But for all we know, the driver of that SUV might come out of a culture that is fine with innocents suffering. Empathy keeps that possibility in mind.
I noticed that there are forgein national trolls on Charlie's site. Many are the same person, they just register a new substack account with a single name like "John" or "Betty". It's tedious doing this process manually, so I suspect some of these are AI systems.
Some of the trolls I recognized, like BobsNotMyUncle, because I've actually met them in person, and they used that moniker in other websites they created.
But, you can tell a troll apart from a genuinely interested person because they will present and insist on propagating a one sided view "pro-hate" or what I call destructiveness.
It will have unsubstantiated "facts" that the Troll proclaims, and faulty irrational chains of logic.
The lack of empathy in the soul leaves a void that is readily filled by hate which leads to abuse.
Those who partake in this abomination against children will not go unpunished. A day of reckoning awaits them. We must resist and speak out always. ELBOWS UP!
We have to look at who is changing Alberta’s laws stripping rights, running down education, healthcare and giving monopolies to families through economic exploitation to create kleptocracies.

It's scary out there now. Can enough people do this in different areas of cities/courts/states and unite a press conference. They (t's govt) are 'disappearing' people of many origins and beliefs.

Elections Canada does not change polling station locations after sending out the voter cards.
https://www.elections.ca/Scripts/vis/Voting
Polling stations are open different hours across Canada. here is the link to determine what the hours are for your area:
https://www.elections.ca/content2.aspx?section=faq&dir=votinghours&document=index&lang=e

Jealousy is an ugly trait, just like what you see when you look in the mirror.

PoiliPlan: Deflect

Vote Palestine <info+vote-palestine-2-info@email.actionnetwork.org>

UNRWA Palestine refugees
https://www.unrwa.org/palestine-refugees
No, the reason why other neighboring Muslim countries are unwilling to accept Palestinian refugees is because the *last* time mass refugees took up residence in Jordan and Lebanon those assholes tried overthrowing the Jordanian monarchy.
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/02/21/why-arab-states-wont-support-palestinians-qa-00142277
Palestinians are unhinged crazy fuckers who have no desire for peace—and those that are tired of being used as human shields by Hamas in the endless war against the Zionists are rounded up and tortured before being executed.
https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/01/middleeast/uday-rabie-palestinian-tortured-hamas-intl-latam/index.html
Seriously.
Here's a video about the inbreeding in Pakistan:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0L1YVvfsojo
That's a cultural thing, and only makes them weaker as a nation—like Pakleds.
The Biden administration’s vision for postwar Gaza
https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atlanticist/the-biden-administrations-vision-for-postwar-gaza/
Empathy, or sympathy?
Life that has no empathy is broken. Any creature that isn't able to relate to its environment or organisms around it doesn't get propagated by evolution.
And, another way to look at empathy is on a scale of connectivity. At the low-end, you are brain dead. At the high-end, you are part of a group.
perception of the outside
self awareness
empathy
synchronicity
telepathy or anticipatory
community
that we humans are capable of such cruelty is gut-wrenching. Clearly we are not nearly as evolved as we think we are.
PP’s star candidate, Aaron Gunn, is famous for his cruel and dehumanizing videos of vulnerable people on the Downtown East Side of Vancouver. The tactics and division of the Poilievre conservatives mirror Trump and fascist tropes.

Survivor calls out Conservative candidate over residential school comments
https://www.aptnnews.ca/national-news/survivor-calls-out-conservative-candidate-aaron-gunn-over-residential-school-comments/
ELBOWS UP!
